Okay, enough with the teasers ... here I am, reporting in at last.. <g>
Sorry about taking so long, but what can I say? I=ve been busy preparing Kenpo T-shirts and tank tops ... got yours ready to sell yet??? You can order by phone, email or fax - get with it! <g>
We have a new NewsFlash going out AS WE SPEAK ... got yours yet? Have you moved? We have a LARGE NUMBER of returned mails, so PLEASE let us know if we don=t have your updated address! (And confirm with us, just in case, please, plus any phone/area code updates!!)
Okay, here=s a bit of news I am SO excited about! My dear mystery writer E-pal, the lovely writer Meg O=Brien, incorporated our advice and info on Kenpo into her most recent book! If you or someone you love is a BIG fan of mystery and suspense, check out Sacred Trust, by Meg O=Brien
... she thanks Al & me (and an extra thanks to me, blush!) in the acknowledgments! I loved this book, though it is NOT for the squeamish! (And she has other mystery/ suspense/ romance books available, as well!)
On a side note, another mystery writing pal, Sparkle Hayter, put a Athank you@ in her most recent book, the Chelsea Girl Murders, to ME ... though I *still* don=t know why! (LOL) Maybe I taught her everything she knows and I just forgot! (Yeah, right!) Sparkle ... you=ve obviously created a monster - >fess up! Click here for a link to Amazon's Chelsea Girls Murders
Happily, we just returned from the Bluegrass Nationals where Ken Eubanks treated us like royalty and inducted Al into the Bluegrass Hall of Fame !! Al got a nice plaque and a gold watch - very impressive! Ken and his wife are extremely nice and classy people! It was also cool to meet Michael DiPasquale for the first time, as he was also inducted into the Hall of Fame. (Thanks yet again to Ken - it was a GREAT event and we really enjoyed it!)
We were also pleased at how many TRACY people travelled to the Bluegrass to lend their support for this honor and wish Al a Happy Birthday!! More thanks on this soon!!
UNHAPPILY, we are SO sad to report that a GIANT in the Chicago martial arts scene, Tom Letuli, passed away on June 24. He will be greatly missed by us, his fellow martial artists, and his MANY friends. :( Our condolences to Rosemary and family.
More later! Didn=t want to leave y=all in suspense TOO long!. More news to come!!
Pat, cornered at last. :)
